July 7, 2011 – Two artists with deep roots in Saskatchewan’s Southwest and intensely individual ways of seeing are featured in July. Judy Gunter, a life-time resident of the Val Marie region, is a photographer and rancher whose close-up, bright images currently on view at the gallery bring innovative attention to the familiar lines and forms of roping. Marsha Schuld’s latest artwork uses strong and evocative pastel portraits of some of the 800 cattle she and her husband manage near Rush Lake, SK to play on the meaning of light and colour. June 1, 2011 – For the month of June, Grasslands Gallery features the work of two artists whose love for the colours and forms of the Grasslands motivates them to create beautiful things. From the Prairie Post: Artwork by Colleen Watson and Louise Perrin featured
May 17, 2011 – New paintings by Catherine Macaulay, Cora Macaulay, Sally Knelson, and Colleen Watson; new Grasslands Collections in hand-dyed scarves by Louise Perrin and hand-made jewellery by Elaine Robitaille; new artist notebooks and cushion covers designed in recycled and post-consumer materials by Maria Enns and Cecilia Enns Schulz with a focus on Southwest grasses and wildflowers it’s a beautiful new season at Grasslands Gallery!
